Herberto Helder is a portuguese surrealist poet. His work is, in a sense, highly descriptive. When reading a poem by Herberto Helder our mind can’t help but to fabricate images that are disconnected and random, but at the same time consistent with the surreal universe he is creating.
This excerpt from his book “Do Mundo”, evoked an interpretation that dealt with an organic type of imagery with a certain subtleness and persistence.
